Späte Ergänzung: Doch, bei der US-Version laufen beide Lüfter, sowohl bei Klima an als auch bei hoher Kühlwassertemperatur. Es gab dazu mal ein tech. bulletin von Townsend Imports

Das war mir neu :redface: Hab ein US-Modell...

Habe allerdings auch noch zusätzliche Abluftöffnungen geschaffen.

    Ich darf hier aus vermutlich dieser Mitteilung zitieren:

    »With the introduction of the 2.1 liter (B212) naturally aspired engine in 1991 model year 900 and 900S models, the cooling fan circuit was changed compared to the 2.0 liter engine. When the B212 engine coolant temperature rises to the specified level only the main cooling fan comes on if the A/C is switched off. If the A/C is switched on, both the main cooling fan and the A/C cooling fan operate. This differs from the previous fan wiring logic where both fans engaged when the engine temperature reached the specified level regardless of the status of the A/C switch.

     

    In certain driving conditions (city driving, A/C not on), this may cause the dashboard temperature gauge to read just below the red zone. While this is not indivative of an overheating situation, it may be cause for some customer questions.

     

    The cooling system is working as designed and is providing adequate engine cooling. However, if a customer is prone to encountering this type of driving condition and is not comfortable with the gauge reading, the cooling fan wiring circuit can be rewired so that both fans engage without the A/C being activated.«

    Ich hoffe, hier zur Aufklärung des Sachverhaltes beitragen zu können. Und nach der Montage des zweiten Lüfters in meinem Cabrio wird auch hier der manuell zuschaltbare Lüfter über den »Extra«-Schalter im Armaturenbrett zum Einsatz kommen....

    Das war das Service Bulletin "high temperature gauge reading" - das stimmt soweit.

    Es gab noch ein weiteres, in dem die baujahrbedingte Änderung der Verkabelung erleutert war...finde es gerade nicht :redface:
